MasterChef Episode 2

Image
After a great return last week for MasterChef, it was time for the second round of auditions! I was looking forward to this episode, as I always enjoy seeing what the contestants make every episode. As a reminder, the theme of the season is Dynamic Duos, so the contestants are competing in teams of two.  The first battle for a white apron was between Darce and Courtney, two animal ER nurses, and Kayla and Ryan Kate, two former MasterChef Junior contestants. As soon as I found out they were going to be contestants this season, I knew that when it was time for their audition, it would either be the first or last one of the episode, as I knew that their presence on the show was enough of a game changer to either start off the episode or end the episode. Darce and Courtney presented their dish first, which was a vegan lomo saltado with lion’s mane mushrooms, rice, and aji amarillo paste, which I might be willing to try. I knew that they were taking a huge risk making a vegan dish as th...

Lego Masters Episode 2

Image
After a great start to the season last week, it was time for the next episode of Lego Masters Season 5! I will not be mentioning everything that happened in the episode, as much of what happened throughout the episode was just pointless filler, so I will instead explain the challenge for the episode, how it worked, what everyone made, and the results.  The challenge for this episode was that each team would pick a box that had two minifigures in it, and they would have to make a wedding cake based on the two minifigures they picked. The teams that picked the same minifigures would be working together, making a total of five supergroups for the episode. They also had much less time than usual to build their cakes, with only four hours to build them. Also, the team that built the tallest cake was automatically going to be safe from elimination. Additionally, as part of the twist that occurred during the challenge, the contestants were told that they had only five minutes left to coll...

My History With Match Game

Image
In my blog post that introduced this blog, I wrote about how I had a lot of history with the game show Match Game. In this post, I will be explaining my history with the show and how I came to fall in love with it My hope with writing this blog post is that all of you reading will be interested in watching the show. The show first premiered in 2016, and what caught my attention was that it was hosted by Alec Baldwin, who I had been familiar with since I was literally a child, as he was the narrator of Thomas the Tank Engine for a while. I initially didn’t know what to expect, but I thought it could be fun, so me and my parents decided to watch the first episode and see what we thought of it. What we thought of it was that it was really great and funny. It was easily the funniest and most sarcastic game show I have ever seen, and throughout its first season, they had so many funny celebrity panelists and questions.
I think that what stood out to me about the show was the fact that it w...

MasterChef Season Premiere

Image
One show that I look forward to watching every summer is the new season of MasterChef! The reason why I enjoy watching it is because I enjoy seeing all the creative dishes the contestants come up with. In recent years, each season has had a theme regarding its format or how the contestants are grouped, and this season is no exception, as the theme of this season is Dynamic Duos. What this means is that all the contestants this season will be groups of two, from couples, to mothers and daughters, to siblings, to best friends, to even divorcees, and for the first time, they will be crowning two MasterChefs. There is also a new judge this season, as regular judge Aaron Sanchez didn’t return, so Tiffany Derry took his place.  This season’s format is already interesting, as during the episode, a total of three duos got aprons, and at the end of the episode, Gordon Ramsay said that only five more duos would be getting aprons, which meant that a total of eight duos would be getting aprons...

Lego Masters Premiere

Image
After what seemed like a very long time, due to the show not releasing a new season in 2024, it was finally time for a new season of Lego Masters! I was greatly looking forward to this, as I always enjoy seeing all the creative builds that the teams come up with, I love hearing Brickmaster Amy’s Scottish accent, and it is easily the most wholesome reality competition show on TV. Before I get into this episode, I am going to share with you all the eleven teams of two this season.  The first team is Ian and Sage, two siblings from Wimberly, Texas.  The second team is Anne and Luke, a mother and son from Barrington, Illinois. The third team is Alex and Tone, two siblings from Toronto, Ontario. The fourth team is Niki and Brittain, two sisters who live in Clearwater, Florida and Spring Hill, Tennessee. The fifth team is Anthony and Joe, a coach and a band director at a school in Katy, Texas. The sixth team is Ben and Michael, two brothers who live in New Haven, Connecticut and Ric...

Introduction To This Blog

Image
On May 7, the Season Finale of Season 13 of The Masked Singer aired. Around this time, I figured that during its hiatus, I could write a few blog posts about celebrities that would be great for the show as well as whatever else occurred to me in order to keep content coming for the blog. Shortly before the finale started, I found out that Season 14 would be premiering in January, which surprised me, but also made me lose inspiration for writing Masked Singer posts during the hiatus, as I knew that rather than just using the summer to write about celebrities perfect for the show, it would have to be the rest of the year, which I knew would cause burnout for me, as I don’t want to be writing one type of blog post for the rest of the year. So you might be wondering both what I will be writing about in the meantime as well as why I have created an entirely new blog. Well, this summer, I have three shows that I am looking forward to that I will be writing about, which I will explain to you ...
