Introduction To This Blog

On May 7, the Season Finale of Season 13 of The Masked Singer aired. Around this time, I figured that during its hiatus, I could write a few blog posts about celebrities that would be great for the show as well as whatever else occurred to me in order to keep content coming for the blog. Shortly before the finale started, I found out that Season 14 would be premiering in January, which surprised me, but also made me lose inspiration for writing Masked Singer posts during the hiatus, as I knew that rather than just using the summer to write about celebrities perfect for the show, it would have to be the rest of the year, which I knew would cause burnout for me, as I don’t want to be writing one type of blog post for the rest of the year. So you might be wondering both what I will be writing about in the meantime as well as why I have created an entirely new blog. Well, this summer, I have three shows that I am looking forward to that I will be writing about, which I will explain to you all right now.

The first show that I will be writing about premieres on May 19, and is called Lego Masters, which as its name suggests, is a Lego building competition. The show itself follows several teams of two Lego builders that are tasked with building creations out of Lego pieces based on a given theme within a given time period. After time has expired, the teams demonstrate their creations to host Will Arnett and two expert judges from the Lego Group: Brickmaster Jamie and Brickmaster Amy. I will be providing brief recaps on what each team builds in every episode.

The next show that I will be writing about premieres on May 21, and is called MasterChef. This is a cooking competition that is hosted by Gordon Ramsay, restaurateur Joe Bastianich, and chef Tiffany Derry. In recent years, the show has had a theme to every season, and this one is no exception, as the theme this season is “Dynamic Duos,” meaning that pairs of home cooks will be competing together, which I am interested in seeing how that will work. There will be a total of 16 duos, and they include married and dating couples, mothers and daughters, siblings, best friends, and even divorcees. When I was in the Reddit for the show, I found two interesting facts, one that I’m sure will not come into play this season, and one that I’m sure will be acknowledged. The first one is that the season was taped in Australia, and the second one is that two of the contestants this season were previously contestants on MasterChef Junior. When I write about this show, I will be mentioning all the interesting foods that the contestants make, all the mistakes that are made, and all the notable moments.

The last show that I will be writing about premieres on July 23, and is a game show called Match Game. The premise of the show is that contestants are asked bizarre and random fill in the blank questions, they have to fill in the blanks with what they think is the right answer, and their answer has to match as many of the six celebrity panelists as possible, and whoever matches more goes on for a chance to win $25,000, and the host this time around is Martin Short. My history with this show and my love for it is almost excessive, as it originally premiered in 2016 and ended in 2021. I would go into detail here, but I feel that it is worthy of its own blog post, so I will just say that in the months and weeks leading up to July 23, I will make blog posts about the 2016-2021 version of the show, the tapings that I went to, and my enormous list of celebrities that I feel would be great for the show. When the show actually premieres, I will mention who the six celebrity panelists are, do my best to explain who they are for those of you unfamiliar with them, and I will give a full recap of all the questions as well as what me and my parents thought were the correct answers.

Overall, I am going to be keeping myself busy this summer, but since I enjoy writing about the shows I watch, I know it will be worth it, and I hope you all enjoy reading it!
