Hello everyone! I was initially going to have my next Match Game blog post be about some of the questions I have come up with, but due to recent events, I feel the need to write about something else instead. This past week, the entirety of the new season of Match Game was taped in three days, with a total of eight episodes. For those of you wondering how this is even possible, they taped two episodes on the first day, three tapings on the second day, and three tapings on the third day.  At the same time, I was also thinking that some celebrities would post pictures and videos of them being at tapings, but I was not prepared for what was about to happen. After a great episode last week with the first Mystery Box Challenge, it was time for the first Team Challenge of the season! I will be honest with you all, I am not the biggest fan of Team Challenges on the show, as they show even less cooking than regular challenges, and it mostly just consists of a lot of yelling and a lot of mistakes being made with there somehow being a winner at the end of it.  For this challenge, the contestants arrived at a pier where they were going to be feeding 101 fishermen and women and their families. Since Rachel and Julio won the challenge last week, they had a big advantage, which was that they could now select all of their teammates. They chose the four teams that had already landed in the top for the first two challenges to make up the rest of their team, while the other five teams made up the other team. After another great episode of Lego Masters last week with a challenge centered around movements, it was time for a challenge centered around Batman! I was surprised that it took them this long to have a Batman themed challenge, as not only is Batman one of the most iconic franchises to be turned into Lego, the show is hosted by Will Arnett, who literally voiced Batman in The Lego Movies. As always, I will be focusing on the important details when writing about this episode. The challenge for this week was that each team had to take one of the Batman movies or TV shows and use it as inspiration to build a Batmobile. The seven Batman eras that the teams could choose from were the 1960s Batman TV Series, Batman and Batman Returns, Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Batman, and The Lego Batman Movie. After a great start to the competition last week, it was time for the first Mystery Box Challenge of the season! For those of you who don’t know what that is, a Mystery Box Challenge is when each contestants station has certain ingredients underneath it, and they then have to make a dish using some or all of the ingredients.  When the contestants got to their stations, there were two Mystery Boxes waiting for them, one which contained sweet ingredients, and one which contained spicy ingredients. From there, the teams had to make a dish with ingredients from both boxes. Zach and Michelle, having won the challenge last week, had an advantage this week, which was that they were going to assign all the teams their proteins. Much like with all the other episodes, I could tell who was going to land in the bottom simply by hearing the judges say they were concerned for them, with one exception that I will get to later. After a great episode last week with a challenge centered around Wicked, it was time for the next episode of Lego Masters! As always, I will only be going over the important details to the episode.  The challenge for this week was that each team had to take a Lego moving machine, either twist, swing, push, or spin, and use it to inspire their build. For the first time in the history of the show, the teams faced off head to head, with each face off having a winner that could win the challenge, and a loser that could go home. Much like with MasterChef last week, the BrickMasters shared which teams they were most concerned about, and as I predicted, those teams ended up being the ones that landed in the bottom.  The first teams to face off were Ben and Michael and Corey and Rebecca, who had to make a build that incorporated twist movement. You probably all remember that I have made a series of blog posts about celebrities that would be great for The Masked Singer, well today I am going to do the same thing for the show Match Game! I have made a list of a lot of celebrities that I feel would be great panelists for the show, and I will be sharing it with you all. As there is not much as to why someone would be great for Match Game as opposed to The Masked Singer, my explanations will be brief, as I will explain who everybody is and why they would be great panelists. Also, my list is massive and has a total of 1,145 celebrities on it, so I will just write about celebrities that are great for the show until I feel I am done. After three rounds of auditions, it was officially time for the MasterChef competition to begin! Much like with all the other blog posts I have done for the show, I will be focusing on memorable moments in the episode, what the contestants in the top three made and who won, and what the contestants in the bottom three made and who got eliminated. For their first challenge, the teams had to make elevated dinner party dishes. There were a lot of great sounding dishes, including several pasta dishes. During the cook time, they showed the judges talking about which teams they were worried about, and if there is anything I have learned from watching this show for many years, it’s that every time the judges are concerned about a dish that a contestant is making, that contestant will land in the bottom, and since they were concerned about exactly three teams, I predicted that they would also make up the bottom three, and I would later find out that I was right. After another great episode last week that saw the teams building creatures that went over a waterfall, it was time for an episode that had a challenge centered around the musical and movie Wicked! As always, I will only be focusing on the important details of the episode, which are the challenge, any twists that were announced, what each team built, and the results of the challenge.  The challenge this week was that each team had to pick a spell book that had either a good or wicked spell in it, and the teams then had to use that spell as an inspiration for their build. At the point where they had three hours and fifteen minutes left, Will Arnett “cast a spell” that gave the teams an additional 30 minutes.  After time was up, it was time for the teams to present their builds.
