What To Expect For Match Game Season 6

I can’t believe that I am about to say this, but we are now days away from the new season of Match Game! ABC has gone out of their way to promote the show in every way they possibly can on social media, the internet, and television. In this blog post, I will be discussing the various things I have seen, as well as my theories as to what some of them mean.

One of the first things I would like to discuss are episodes. As I have said before, a total of eight episodes were taped, and thanks to both celebrities who like posting everything and the show’s social media, I know all the celebrities on every episode. I will now be going over it with all of you, starting in the order in which they will air, before saying the last five in a random order.

The first episode, which will premiere on Wednesday, will feature Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne, Kevin Nealon, Anthony Anderson, Ziwe Fumudoh, and BD Wong as panelists. I knew that the first episode they were going to air was going to be one that featured Selena Gomez, and it makes more sense that it’s one where she is the first celebrity on the panel.

The second episode will feature Caroline Rhea, Jay Pharoah, Ana Gasteyer, Phoebe Robinson, Randall Park, and Constance Zimmer, which is definitely going to be a great episode, as most of these celebrities were on the Alec Baldwin version and were great there.

The third episode will feature Ego Nwodim, Jackie Tohn, Triumph The Insult Comic Dog, Andrea Martin, Thomas Lennon, and Pete Holmes. This episode has me excited for a number of reasons, which are that I find it funny that one of the panelists this season is going to be a puppet, I think it’s great that Andrea Martin, a person who has worked with Martin Short for many years is going to be a panelist, and I love Thomas Lennon.

I have no idea which episode is going to air after this, but I know the panelists for every episode, so I’m going to share all of them with you now!

Another episode this season is going to have Thomas Lennon, Andrea Martin, Tituss Burgess, Ego Nwodim, Pete Holmes, and Von Miller. This is another episode that I know will be great, as it features celebrities that I love again, and Tituss Burgess is back as well, which is great because he was a regular early on in the Baldwin version, and then just stopped appearing.

Another episode this season is going to have Anthony Anderson, Annie Murphy, Joel McHale, Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne, and Thomas Lennon. This is another exciting episode, as there are more great celebrities who were on the Baldwin version here, Selena Gomez is on a second episode, and Annie Murphy is always great. Also, Anthony Anderson’s name card for this episode says “Antnee” for some reason, which I find to be incredibly funny. Also, I have a theory about this episode, which could be wrong, but it’s just what I think is the case. I think that Thomas Lennon was not supposed to be on this episode, as the most episodes any other celebrity is on this season is two, and here he is on his third episode, which was taped on a completely different day from his other two episodes. Also, one of the celebrities that was announced as being on the show in the initial announcement was Jim Belushi, and he wasn’t at any of the actual episodes, and I remember seeing that he was taping something in Montreal at the same time, so my guess is that he thought his schedule would allow him to be on the show, but it turned out he didn’t have enough time. Also, every other episode this season has one or more celebrities that is a panelist on only one episode, and the episode as it is now has celebrities that are all on more than one episode, which I think further supports my theory.

The next episode this season is the one episode where I don’t know exactly where the panelists are seated, so I’m going to do my best to guess where they all are. The panelists are Joel McHale, Kevin Nealon, Lamorne Morris, Amy Sedaris, Annie Murphy, and Ziwe Fumudoh. This is another episode that I’m sure will be great, even though I feel that way about all of them, as we have many funny celebrities back for a second episode, and more celebrities returning from the Baldwin version.

Another episode this season is going to have Beanie Feldstein, Caroline Rhea, Joel Kim Booster, Adam Pally, Constance Zimmer, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph. I am so glad they brought back Caroline Rhea and Constance Zimmer, as they were regulars on the Baldwin version, and I am so glad that Adam Pally returned as well.

The last episode this season is going to have Adam Pally, Randall Park, Kal Penn, Ana Gasteyer, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Beanie Feldstein. This episode features four celebrities that returned from the Baldwin version that I’m glad are back.

Some trailers and pictures that have been released have also shown some of the answers the celebrities wrote down, and the second half of some questions, which I am going to share with you all now.

The first answer was Selena Gomez writing “Chicken Strips,” and I can’t figure out what question this could be in response to.

The next answer was Thomas Lennon writing “Hot Nuts,” which I both can’t figure out what question this could be in response to, and I’m also slightly worried to find out what the question was.

The next two answers were Randall Park writing “Mittens” and Ana Gasteyer writing “Crotch Cozies.” While I am slightly worried about what the question was due to Ana’s response, I know that these answers are from the same episode, and perhaps even the same question, which my dad even hypothesized was about Jack Frost and what winter themed clothing he has invented.

The next answer was Triumph The Insult Comic Dog writing “Why Am I Doing This,” which I can’t tell if it was his answer or just something he wrote as a joke.

The next answer was Joel McHale writing “Ego,” which could be any question at all, so I don’t know what to say there.

The next answer was Constance Zimmer writing “Feet,” which could be referring to any question at all, but I do know that it’s going to be part of the second episode.

The next answer was Anthony Anderson writing “Buttocks,” which has me worried as to what the question is, but also could be any question at all.

One trailer also showed the second half of a question, which is “Who knew so many people wanted to see a pig’s ________,” which again, has me worried as to how the question started, and what the answer could possibly be. Me and my dad have come up with many ways as to how the question started, such as a strip club for pigs, Miss Piggy in Playboy Magazine, and many questions about famous pigs in movies and books.

The next few answers are all from the first episode, so we will find out the exact context soon enough.

One picture showed Anthony Anderson writing “Fist” as his answer, which also ended up matching with the contestant. I have no idea what the question could have been, but clearly the contestant and three celebrities said fist.

Another trailer showed BD Wong having written “International Threading Convention” as his answer, and I have no idea what the question could have been.

That same trailer also showed Ziwe Fumudoh having written “Sex With Marty” as her answer, which both has me worried and has me thinking that it’s in response to a question about Martin Short.

An interview with Martin Short also featured four answers from celebrities, as well as the second half of a question, which was “Oh The Places You’ll _________,” as well as Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne having written “Die,” Kevin Nealon having written “Poop,” Anthony Anderson having written “Forget,” and Martin Short saying that the contestant had said “Sleep.” From there, my dad said that all these answers were for that same question, and from there we reverse engineered it to come up with the full question, and here is what we came up with.

“Dr. Seuss has moved into an old folks home. All the residents love him, especially since he wrote a book for them called Oh The Places You’ll _________.”

Overall, this is everything you can expect for Season 6 of Match Game, so on Wednesday night at 9:00, tune into ABC and watch the funniest game show ever!
